WAVE & ROME is a Nashville-based indie pop band led by Sam Tinnesz. The band was originally created after three years of searching and collaboration with co-writer and co-producer Josh Farro (formerly of Paramore). Having been introduced by a mutual friend, Tinnesz and Farro found an instant creative bond in their musical crossroads. They bonded over a desire to depart from the limitations of any specific genre, leaving past influences and tastes behind.
After immersing themselves in a sea of alternative records, the two emerged with the beginnings of WAVE & ROME. One song lead to the tracking of five and the Across the Map EP was born. Almost a year after the songs were originally recorded, Tinnesz developed the songs further with producer Matt Bronleewe. The tracks were then mixed by Chad Howatt (Paper Route), who added his unique ear for pushing sonic boundaries.
WAVE & ROME’s debut EP, Across The Map, was released on June 2nd, 2015. This EP premiered by Baeble Music led to sold out shows and was used by ABC, Sea World, MTV's Scream, CBS' God Friended Me, and Liongate's movie trailer for Get A Job.
In 2018, the band evolved into the trio: Sam Tinnesz, Vince DiCarlo, and Joe Williams. Back at it, the band released their single “Stardust” on July 10th, 2019 followed by their self-titled record including “Be My Girl”, “Hey K”, and “Velvet Sea” on August 2, 2019. The second single, "Hey K" was added to the coveted Spotify Rock/ Pop playlist along side contemporaries such as Two Door Cinema Club , K. Flay and others!
